Board of the Vatican John Paul II Foundation
The Vatican John Paul II Foundation, in accordance with its statutes, is managed by the current Archbishop Metropolitan of Krakow, presently Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski. The Chairman of the Administrative Council is Monsignor Dr. Paweł Ptasznik.
The Foundation’s Secretariat, under the leadership of Monsignor Dr. Dariusz Giers, manages the organization’s finances and operations, prepares reports for the Vatican Secretariat for the Economy, and supports the activities of the Friends of the Foundation’s Chapters and Societies worldwide, promoting the mission and values of Pope John Paul II.
Key Institutions for the Foundation:
- Center for Documentation and Research of the Pontificate of John Paul II: Conducts research and documents the activities of the Pope, under the direction of Fr. Dr. Andrzej Dobrzyński.
- Polish House of John Paul II in Rome: Managed by Fr. Mateusz Wójcik, serves as a meeting and lodging place for pilgrims from around the world.
- John Paul II Foundation House in Lublin: Directed by Fr. Jan Strzałka SCJ, provides support for students and scholarship recipients.
Thanks to the spiritual and financial support from the global community of Friends, the Foundation achieves its goals, maintaining strong ties with the Holy See and promoting the teachings of John Paul II worldwide.
Financing the Foundation:
The John Paul II Foundation is sustained solely through the financial support of Friends and benefactors, organized in 47 Chapters and Societies across 18 countries. This activity not only preserves the spiritual legacy of John Paul II but also promotes his values on an international scale.

In the intention of all Benefactors, we pray at the tomb of St. John Paul II in the Vatican, especially during Holy Mass every Thursday, as well as daily at the Polish House of John Paul II in Rome.
